Saturday Morning in the Newton Grove
Mike spent Saturday morning in the Newton Grove discussing Surrey First’s vision and the future of the City, with long time Surrey residents.
Mike met with Marion Reid (wife of the late Bill Reid), their daughter Cathy and husband George Stroppa (Dean of Douglas College Business Finance) and grandson Chris Stroppa (Burnaby firefighter) to discuss the need for having a strong team in place to keep Surrey moving forward.

Donation 52
While I may have been told that one must have thick skin to be a politician, I don’t think the term indicated impenetrable!
Thanks to Sue, Addie and the rest of the Canadian Blood Services staff for making the blood donation a breeze.
This was donation #52 for me, and with 52 days until the Surrey Civic election, it seemed like a good time to “change the oil”, so to speak!
Call 1-888-2-Donate or visit http://www.blood.ca/ to find out how, and where, you can donate blood.
It’s in you to give!

Crescent Beach Rail Crossing
On Tuesday, myself, along with fellow Surrey First candidates Dave Woods and Vera LeFranc, with Councillors Judy Villeneuve and Linda Hepner, at the rail crossing in Crescent Beach.
The Surrey First team ensured all in attendance, that Surrey First will ensure that all safety concerns regarding access and egress issues due to rail traffic will need to be addressed. We can`t have this community delayed from access to Police, Fire or Ambulance services due to rail traffic.
